About

I love the soft pastels medium, with its vibrant colors and shimmering texture. The natural landscape inspires me most. I usually paint en plein air (that’s french for on-site, live, outside) and try to capture the essence and emotion of scenes I experience in the Puget Sound and greater Pacific Northwest.
After majoring in art and design, I spent years as an advertising art director and marketer, but it wasn't until a few years ago that I could devote full time to what I really love: painting!
What
I only offer original paintings. Each original painting is unique. Each painting comes framed, see “Framing” below.
When and Where
Currently we ship to U.S. and Canada. Please allow 5-7 days to package and ship your painting. Depending on your location, delivery times will vary.
Framing
The sizes you see listed are the image size only. All of my original paintings are framed for you, in classic, high quality, 3” wide dark brown/black wood with bronze highlights. I have found these frames “go with” just about any decor, from modern to traditional. The pastel art is safely and securely sandwiched between UV-safe, anti-reflective, museum-quality acrylic and acid-free backing board.
About Pastels
I only use soft pastels. Because soft pastels do not use oil-based binders or waxes which can erode and discolor, the soft pastels’ colors will stay vibrant forever. There are soft pastel paintings in the Louvre that are over 500 years old and still look brand new! I only use acid-free surface materials, backing board, sealing tape, and UV museum-quality acrylic, all ensuring your painting stays true many years from now.
The pastel brands I love the most are Blue Earth and Sennelier-Unison. I like the sanded papers the best, with LaCarte and UArt being my most favorite.
Enjoy!
You are buying original art. Each piece is unique. All Sales Final.
